This website contains information, resources and tools created by or for ADeN, and by individuals, teams and/or organisations (where stated). All reasonable efforts are made to ensure that it is accurate and up to date, however ADeN makes no warranties or representations as to its accuracy or completeness. In particular, ADeN has not verified the accuracy or currency of information supplied by any third parties. Inclusion of information, resources or links from third parties does not constitute an official endorsement.

1. What is personal information?
Personal information is information or an opinion about an identified individual, or an individual who is reasonably identifiable whether the information or opinion is true or not and whether the information is recorded in a material form or not.
2. Who do we collect personal information from?
ADeN collects personal information about you directly from you.
We primarily collect information about you when you fill out one of the forms on our website to contact us, or sign up for one of our mailing lists.
3. What types of personal information do we collect and why?
When you sign up for one of our email lists we collect your name and email address. This information is used to invite you to participate in research, inform you of relevant opportunities (such as conferences, educational opportunities), and to seek feedback on the website and/or ADeN activities.
4. Cookies
When you visit the ADeN website, our web server may request your browser to create a cookie on your computer. A cookie is a small piece of information sent by our server to your browser by other sites.
Our cookies do not contain personal information about users. However, cookies can identify a user’s browser. Cookies are small digital signature files that are stored by your web browser that allow your preferences to be recorded when visiting the website. Our analytics systems use cookies to gather information regarding visitor activity to our websites. This is not used to identify you as an individual but is collated into aggregate results or classifications.

ADeN has a Twitter page and comments posted on these are open to the public. If you upload content to these pages, you should be aware that your information is collected by the company operating the social media page (for example, Twitter). You should refer to the privacy policy of that social media company for information on how the organisation collects, uses and discloses personal information.
6. How do we hold personal information?
Our email lists are held on SurveyMonkey, see their Privacy Policy: https://www.surveymonkey.com/mp/legal/privacy/.
E-mail addresses will not be sold, rented or leased to 3rd parties within or outside of Australia.
